Upon emerging from
the ark, the animals
were parched. Two
by two they met
at a fresh water
pool. Tigers,
pandas, giraffes,
zebras, and more.
Slurping, neighing,
and hooting sounds
echoed 'round. It
was an astronomic
animal affair, where
all were welcome,
and thirsts
were quenched.

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York.
My goal is to create and share poetry with others
who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve
in you, and feel your sparks as well.
If only!

Ah! This image struck me that same way, too. I’m so glad you ran with it. Nicely done!

And this is going to settle firmly in my brain as animals in space. Very cool.

Good thoughts, Sara, to relate it to Noah’s Ark. Survival first before going for each other as the next meal!

All are welcome but, the lingering thought is for how long? If only there was satisfaction after the drink. Maybe, some day!
