A Child’s Disappointment

Written for: April 2021 PAD - Day 13
"Write a Lucky and/or Unlucky poem."

Once there was a children's show hosted by
Sonny Fox. Various schools were invited
to take part in the show. Now it was our
turn. Oh, the excitement!

The day before our debut, I came down with
a serious case of scarlet fever. I watched
my class on television, and cried.

     chaos at feeder
     all hummingbird slots are filled
     one emerald bird hovers

  1. So sorry about your disappointment. I remember Sonny Fox so very well from ‘Wonderama’. He was later replaced by Bob McAllister
