Written for: April 2021 PAD - Day 17 "Write a waiting poem." I will crouch behind this tree calmly waiting for that big-eared scoundrel who's always baiting me. Can't wait to watch his ego deflating. Need to listen closely; he is light-weighted Soon my rabbit stew will be marinating I think I hear a rabbit promenading My rifle is in my hand containing all I need . . . but wait! that is a toy aping a rabbit! 'What's up Doc?' Nuts, I've been outplayed. https://www.writersdigest.com/write-better-poetry/2021-april-pad-challenge-day-17
