Written for: The Twiglets #232 - "shadows vanish"

so did I.
After the plum-scarlett
sky vanished, night
occluded the beach.
Not even shadows
could be seen.

Wendy was worried and pacing
Peter's shadow had fallen while chasing
Tinkerbell, so jealous
of Wendy, such rudeness.
Wendy sewed Peter's shadow back, Tinkerbell raging.
I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York.
My goal is to create and share poetry with others
who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve
in you, and feel your sparks as well.

Love that second one – “plum-scarlett sky” is luscious
I enjoyed your first three. The limerick though… I’m a Pan fan and I remember seeing Peter Pan on stage, when Sandy Duncan played Peter Pan Possibly in the mid late 1960’s. 😀
I saw it on stage with Mary Martin, and could not believe it was a woman playing the role.
