A Triangle Triumph

Flatiron Building

Written for: Miz Quickly - Day 11

"IF you were

a tree, what tree would you be–or like to be?

a color?

a building?

a song?

Make the title something along the lines of “Song of My Self.”

I am in a prime
location, have
my own corner.
Need stories?
I have twenty-two.
See my steel
frame? Built
to last. Notice
my triangular
body–funky, huh?
I gaze out over
Madison Square Park,
and bustling city
streets. Use to
landlord a myriad
of businesses–music
publishers, dentists,
milliners. Ya gotta
admit, at 117, I still
turn heads.

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.
