Winding of Eras

Written for: Miz Quickly – Day 29

"At my grandparents’ home when I was young [Yes, Miz Bunny was once young] there was a wind-up dog that did flips, and a monkey that banged cymbals. Each one wonderful in its way.

Write about winding.

Crank up that Jack-In-A-Box,
watch that clown pop up
and terrify me.

My favorite wind-up of
all time, was my Pink
Panther, who looked
from side to side,
and clashed cymbals
while dancing.

Ah, but it's a long
and winding road,
I suppose. The only
item we wind up now
is an old grandfather
clock.

  1. Time does that. I never liked when the Pink Panther talked but dancing and cymbals are allowed
