I will pass for
now. Making rash
decisions is how
I usually flow,
a sign of immaturity.
No more chasing
into the fray
for me. I plan
to linger for
a spell, not reach
for each balloon
that comes drifting
by. I will consider
only well-drafted plans.
The thought of
another disastrous
decision makes
my heart tremble.
Thanks, but I will
pass for now.

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York.
My goal is to create and share poetry with others
who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve
in you, and feel your sparks as well.
Wise decision. Great poem.

A lesson that usually takes a while to learn. Well done, Sarah!
