Love Poem To The Beach

Written for: Poetic Bloomings2 - Prompt #373 - For The Love Of . . .
"Write a love poem.

If I could, I would love
to live near a beach.
Smooth sand soothes me as
does the hypnotic sounds of
ocean's roar, seagull's screech.

Salty scents of brine, seaweed,
and coconut suntan cream.
Wave's arc is an invitation
to jump in and swim. Lose yourself
in sea creature's dreams.

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.
