Written for: Go Dog Go Cafe - Tuesday Writing Prompt (posted by Devereaux and Beth) "Write a poem about standing up to an enemy, or an obstacle in your life." She and I were good friends. Confided in, imbibed with, worked together. I noticed that our phone calls were becoming a one-sided weather report. Forecast was forever unfavorable. It was wearing; I hardly managed to insert a sentence. In time I realized that she never asked about my life. Made a decision to get rid of the weight of depression; I ended the friendship. https://godoggocafe.com/
