“dogs in jackets”

Written for: The Twiglets #300 - dogs in jackets

Mustard up that jacket
for my hot dog.

Two rain jackets,
one purple, one chocolate
Two dry dogs

dog lies curled in ball
paws tucked under for comfort
on mom's jacket

All his clothes featured dogs in jackets
putting him in a unique bracket
                      'til he met Pat
                  clothes covered in cats
Now they pick out their palettes at Target's

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy.
