And so many more . . .

Written for: Friday Writings #50: Sweet!

"In honor of Halloween this week’s optional prompt is to use the word “sweet” to inspire your creations."

Always welcome, a Snicker's bar
or dark chocolate the color of tar.
Twix is nice, you get two pieces
An all time favorite of mine is Reese's.
Black licorice is chewy and tasty
Anything maple goes down easy.
I have a problem with jelly beans,
'cause I eat too many, my stomach deems.

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

LOL, since the weird flavored jelly beans became popular, I’m always leery of them!
