"In the interest of today’s Halloween scene in some areas of the world, I want you to try your haunted hands at writing a poem that includes some form of the word scare: Scarecrow. Scary. Scared. Scaring. Scarier. Scaremonger. Scare tactics. Scare quotes. Scared stiff. Scared silly. Scare the living daylights out…"


Scare tactics
are a favorite
of politicians
running for 
office.  They
scare up dirt
on opponents,
then warn you
of dire consequences
if you vote for them.
We in the States
should be scared,
listening to inane
ads by scaremongers.
Canada is looking fine.

    I hear you Dwight. There seems to be a very special insanity that is broken out in this country last decade. Certainly didn’t expect it after we appeared in lightened in the election of Obama. But I guess you can’t change the tiger stripes. Happy Halloween to you my friend. ✌🏼❤️🎃

    Scare tactics, scaremongers, scapegoats, all political propoganda tactics and all used infamiously by “Hitler” … and our so called modern-day “enlightened” politicians are still using the same despicable schemes …

    Yep. Not a fan of political season, at all. Happy to have already voted, so I can fully put everything on “ignore.”

    Fear has become the biggest campaign tactic. It’s not about what the candidate can do it’s how badly they can scare you with the other candidate. Will be so glad when this season has passed for another while.
