Cozy Night

"As we in the Northern hemisphere are crunching into winter, those in the Southern hemisphere are crunching out of it and into summer. In either case, the nights are cool at most. How many of us would love to be huddled by a blazing fire and sipping hot cocoa? This scene is a perfect lead in to today’s prompt word: warm."

Instantly, I warmed
to your welcome. You
ushered me in to
a seat beside a
fireplace glowing
orange, warming
my cold body. It gave
a whole new meaning
to warm front. I sipped
my hot toddy, stirring
it with cinnamon stick.
A cozy night.

A cozy night with hot toddy can be an interesting episode, Sara! Hank’s encounter with toddy drinkers before were typically a noisy lot. There has to be a crowd. Certainly not in a peaceful home environment.

The fire is always a hook for me. Ah, one day, I’d like to have my own hearth. 😉
