Star Cloud

"Today, I’d like you to close your eyes and wish upon a star."

Starstruck, starry eyed, falling star, superstar, all-star, rockstar, Starbucks, starshine, star power, movie star, stardust.
I came upon a star cloud cluster
appearing as a vast
silver-painted canvas
stretching across one corner
of the sky. I dreamt
what it would be like
to join those stars
for just one night. Cold,
and bright with an upside-
down view.

I am a freelance poet, born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my husband, John, and two charming rescue dogs–Marion Miller and Murphy. We spent eight lovely years in Portland, OR, but are now back in New York. My goal is to create and share poetry with others who write, or simply enjoy reading poetry. I hope to touch a nerve in you, and feel your sparks as well.

Cold. Bright. Upside-down. Perhaps the perspective we truly need. Love this, Sara.

A lovely quadrille, Sara. Son Carl and I spent a day at Kennedy Space Center last month … your quadrille brings back the spectacular displays and films we saw! The Stars, The Stars in every possible direction.

It would be nice to talk from up there, seems they have gathered in preparation for the writer’s appearance. I might like to go?
