The Carving

Oh, if only you would 
Carve for me a man of wood.
Such a splendid sight,
And I know just the site
To place this wooden knight-
On a romantic moonlit night 
Standing under a Yew.
Everyone will congratulate you,
And celebrate with a fair
Assuring how well your career will fare.
