Written for: Poetics Aside 2023 April PAD Challenge - Day 22 "Write a 'What (blank)' poem. Today is National Earth Day. Sweep our planet of declension. What color future do you see from charcoal to candlelight shade? See with eyes wide, pay attention– today is National Earth Day. Is everything you touch plastic gray? Do away with needless pollution. What color future do you see? Some may see future as gold rays– they work hard for reinvention. Today is National Earth Day. All play a part in their own way making green choices with action. What color future do you see? Each species matters-see that they stay. We owe the earth our protection. Today is National Earth Day, what color future do you see? https://www.writersdigest.com/write-better-poetry/2023-april-pad-challenge-day-22
